For the founder and owner of Brite Beauty, Marsi Hubbard, it all began in the close-knit community of Lubbock, Texas, where Southern values and classic hospitality shaped her approach to life and business. “Being from a smaller, connected community contributed to the warm, friendly atmosphere I’ve created around our team and clients,” she says. As an only child, Marsi learned independence early. “I had time and space to daydream, create, and visualize,” she recalls. That space sparked the creativity that would later define her work in beauty and entrepreneurship.

Raised by Southern women who never left the house without their hair done and lipstick on, Marsi was steeped in the ritual of self-presentation. “My Nana had a major impact. Well into her elderly years, she’d ‘put on her face’ anytime company was coming over,” Marsi recalls. Despite her mother’s struggles with mental illness, she too would take time to dress up and do her makeup before going out. These quiet acts of dignity and strength stuck with Marsi. Aesthetically, she was drawn to timeless grace. “Audrey Hepburn was such a classic icon,” she says. Paired with her admiration for strong leadership, like President Ronald Reagan, Marsi was surrounded by examples of poise, power, and presence.
At just 16, Marsi became a teen mom, a pivotal moment that would change the course of her life. Her father enrolled her in cosmetology school during her junior and senior years of high school, knowing she would need a viable career path. What started as a practical decision became a calling. “It ended up becoming one of the biggest blessings of my life. I’ve been licensed for over 25 years now.” After high school, Marsi went straight into the salon. Her ambition didn’t stop there. While working full time, she enrolled at Texas Tech University and eventually graduated with honors. Along the way, she wore many hats: stylist, student, and later, teacher. She gained skills she now credits as foundational to her leadership at Brite.

Love eventually brought her to Dallas, where the seeds of Brite Beauty were sown. “I had the idea for Brite long before I took the leap,” Marsi shares. In 2018, she jumped and hasn’t looked back. The company booked its first wedding in June 2018. Since then, Brite Beauty has grown into a powerhouse. In 2023 alone, the team served over 380 brides, nearly 2,000 non-bridal services, 28 corporate activations, and hosted 8 in-house education courses. For Marsi, these numbers reflect more than success. They represent her grit. “I’m most proud of my ability to face the hard things, learn from them, and improve along the way.”
Her approach to challenges is both disciplined and bold, shaped by personal mantras that drive her forward. “Commit to the commitment,” she often says, a reflection of her refusal to half-step through life or business. She believes in momentum and accountability, reminding herself daily to “show up to go up.” And in true Marsi fashion, she infuses even the hardest work with levity. “Work it and twerk it,” she laughs, because why not dance while you're at it? When motivation dips, she doesn’t spiral. She strategizes. “Make the plan, work the plan,” she says. A note in her phone reads simply: ‘Eff Feelings’—a sharp, personal reminder to lead with discipline over emotion. Her success isn’t accidental; it’s intentional, tracked, and executed. “I track 10 different categories each morning,” she explains, a ritual that keeps both her goals and her mindset aligned. Marsi is also the first to reject the illusion of perfect balance. Instead, she sets clear priorities. “Time is a limited resource. Be present in the moments—at work or with family. Maximize the moment you’re in,” she says. Living between Dallas and Denver with her husband, she makes it work through intentional planning and mutual respect.

Today, Brite Beauty is not only thriving in Texas but has also expanded into Colorado. More markets are on the horizon for 2026. Beyond beauty services, Marsi has plans to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures over the next few decades. Personally, her daughter’s upcoming wedding has added another layer of joy and planning to life. With nearly three decades of industry experience, a thriving business, and a reputation for grace under pressure, Marsi Hubbard is proof that resilience, heart, and hustle can build something beautiful. For those aspiring to follow her path, she offers this advice: “Reverse engineer success. Strategize, then act. Be ethical. Be dependable. Work like hell and advertise. And above all, give it your all.”
